Wedding at Greenfield Corporate Center

As Lindsey and Jeremy's wedding day arrived, both were amazingly calm. They were actually quite mellow throughout the planning process. To me that was a sign that they were truly in love and ready to spend the rest of their lives together. Every time I met with them I could just see how much in love they were. The ceremony took place at the Calvin G. High Pavilion in Greenfield Corporate Center. When you hear pavilion you may think of the kind with picnic tables underneath like you see at local parks. Well, not this one. This has a three tiered roof with retractable awnings (which came in handy) as well as a gorgeous stone "counter" which was perfect to use as an alter. This is where we laid a purple linen with the sand ceremony on top of it as well as two large flower arrangements. We also scattered flower petals on this as well as on the floor in front of it and down the aisle.

Once all of the guests and parents were seated I lowered one of the awnings as the bride and bridesmaids walked towards the pavilion. Once the processional song started I raised the awning so the bridesmaids could make a grand entrance, while the bride and her father "hid" back a ways. Once the flower girl and two ring bearers (all so adorable!) made their way down the aisle, the bride and her father then made their grand entrance as everyone stood to welcome them.

The ceremony went smoothly as the bride and groom said their heartfelt I do's. After the radiant couple exited the pavilion they then went back in to dismiss each guest personally. I love when couples do this as it then ensures that they will at least get to see each guest briefly as often the reception flies by so quickly that couples just don't have enough time to say hello to all of their guests.

Once the ceremony was done I left my "assistant" for the day at the site to make sure pictures went smoothly as I headed over to the reception site at The Hamilton Ballroom. The Hamilton is a gorgeous venue as it is, but with the little touches this couple did it was even more fabulous! The guest tables were all set with an aqua linen and purple napkins. Each napkin had an orchid laid on it. Then the sweetheart table, gift table, cake table, and hors d'eurves table were all set with purple linens. You might think that sounds like an odd combination, but it looked awesome together!

They had two different types of centerpieces alternated on the tables. Some had a single cylinder vase with orchids while the others had three cylinder vases filled with water and submerged orchids with floating candles on top. There were then votive candles scattered throughout, giving the room a very romantic feel.

During cocktail hour we set up a projector with a slide of the bride and groom (thanks again to Rog at Top Hat for helping with that). The guests all seemed to love watching this.

Outside the ballroom we set up the couples "guest book". It wasn't your typical guest book. The couple bought a piece of canvas and painted it aqua. In purple they then put their monogram. All of the guests then signed the canvas. The couple now has a nice piece of artwork to hang in their house to always remember this special day.
