Lancaster Wedding at Lime Spring Farms
As Erin and Kevin's wedding day arrived the weather was gorgeous! Just a few days before they had been calling for rain! The ceremony was set with white chairs and pomanders lining the aisle on shepherd hooks. The vows took place under a beautiful pergola on the grounds at Lime Spring Farm.
The bride wore a gorgeous ivory dress while the bridesmaids wore lovely green dresses. The main flowers were peonies, the bride's favorite. The flower girls (the couples twins) and ring bearer were pulled down the aisle in a decorated wagon. The three of them looked so sweet!
They decided to have more of a party than a reception after the ceremony so they went with heavy hors d'oeuvres rather than seated meals. The high-top tables were dressed in black linens accented with pink sashes, the color of the peonies. Each table had beautiful peony centerpieces, designed by a family friend, with candles surrounding them. They looked gorgeous once the sun went down! Even the cake was decorated with peonies!
Instead of the traditional guest book, the bride and groom bought two plates and had guests sign those with their well wishes. That is such a great idea and it's something they can display for all to see.
Another fun item the couple went with was a photo booth. This was a huge hit and guests were constantly going in and out getting their pictures taken with lots of fun props. Even parents and grand parents got in on the fun!
The maid of honor decided to give a toast last minute (with some coaxing). It was a beautiful toast and had several people in tears. The best man also gave a heartfelt toast.
The remainder of the night was spent on the dance floor. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!
Erin and Kevin - it was a pleasure working with you! I wish you a long and happy life together! And to the bridal party - you all were so much fun! I'm glad I got to meet you all!
